Help JalWater fix source, location, wording, or context issues without weakening the published-data standard.

How to report an issue

Send the details to corrections@jalwater.in. Include enough source context for a human review.

Include

  • The JalWater page URL.
  • The city, district, state, indicator, or source field you believe is wrong.
  • The exact wording or value currently shown.
  • The official source URL, document title, page, table, row, or citation that supports the correction.
  • Your name and contact email so JalWater can ask a follow-up question if needed.

Review policy

  • JalWater may review, correct, annotate, remove, decline, or defer a correction depending on source quality and review capacity.
  • A correction request is not an admission of error, liability, or loss.
  • If an official source changes, JalWater may wait for a published official correction before updating public values.
  • News-context errors should also be reported to the original publisher because JalWater does not control third-party articles.
  • Do not submit Aadhaar, bank details, passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information in a correction request.
